You can get Virtual PC 2004 for free from MS if you don't want to play with formating and partiitioning your real hard drive
you might have trouble deleteing the Windows/Program files folder, so if you planb to remove Vista, backup your data and formate that partition removing vista without formating is more complex than removing an xp installation -------------------- Windows 7 M3 (6.1.6801.0)
Windows Vista SP2 (6.0.6002.16497) |

Wow, been a while since I was here
Spencer is right, you don't need EasyBCD or any other application to get a dual-boot up and running, but new versions of EasyBCD allow you to dual-boot Vista, XP, Linux, and Mac with ease. Also, there is a "hack" of sorts where you can try out Vista, and if you don't like it, go back to XP, without needing to partition anything at all. You just tell Vista to "Clean Install" to the same drive that XP is on - but don't ask it to format. You'll end up with Vista up and running, and your XP thrown in a folder called "Windows.old" in C:\ This workaround then let's you then remove Vista and go back to XP any old time you feel like it... Just don't delete that folder!! {BTW, thanks for the plug spencer - too many people don't know the real deal!} -------------------- |

wow, wow, wow. Each time i go to install vista, the upgrade opion has ALWAYS been grayed out and not available. Second of all, if you do a freash install, this WILL NOT delete all of your files, but will move them to a folder called windows.old. Installing vista is as easy as 1,2,3 or A,B,C.

Your Mutli Media controller will be there with a ! next to it. Double click on it and go Reinstall driver. Question How do i get into Device Manager? Answer Easy! There are 2 ways you can do this, but i will tell u the quickest way for me. Open up "Computer" Click up the top where it says "System Properties", Then on the right side plane, there will be a link to Device Manager Hope it helps Cheers Mumbo Man -------------------- ![]() ![]() |
