Why are they making such a big jump from 5520 to 5700? I mean for the RTM Build, ok, but for just the RC1?

What makes you think so? ph34r.gif
Which build should be RC1 then?

i Dont know which build should be RC1 but use your common sense, why will MS show off RC1 build in Tech-ED 06 show that too which is taking place in Australia and i am sure 95% of people in this forum didnt even know about it until now.

Well, I was just on WinInfo, and Paul was saying they will release 5536 for RC1. Apparetnly there were two major problems with 5520, so they had to move to another build.

RC1 Is Ready to Drop

It seems that Microsoft are preparing to launch Release Candidate 1 (RC1) of Windows Vista via the Customer Preview Program (CPP) shortly. A page has been discovered, which although returns an error, is labelled with "Thank you for your interest in Windows Vista RC 1.". This surely suggest that Windows Vista RC1 will be released very shortly.
